I have created a PowerPoint this week for my reflection, which I have embedded below. Please note that this is embedded and may not appear as originally planned (I noticed the transitions changed to an extremely slow fade). Otherwise I tried to use as many features of Powerpoint that I was unfamiliar with as possible, including uploading onto a blog!
Hey the powerpoint doesn't appear at all for me. Not sure if there is a problem on my end, but thought I would let you know just in case.
ReplyDeleteI have signed out and viewed it successfully, as well as viewing on my phone while not logged onto this account and it works for me. I think you need Flash on your device but otherwise I am not sure why that error is occuring sorry.
DeleteOh that would be why then, sorry for the late reply. I'll have another look at it on a different device.
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you could do so much with powerpoint! I mentioned to Jess that I like the idea of interactive powerpoints as they mimic games without having to be connected to the internet so you don't need to be concerned with cyber safety. My biggest concern though is what do we do if we are in a school in which there is limited ICT resources? I feel that we all need to be expanding our ideas to include students having to share resources and how we will manage that.
Maybe the use of computers could be used to extend some students while the teacher scaffolds the learning of small groups around one computer. Do you have insights on this topic?
Most of the ideas in this course assume that every student will have access to a computer, however I like the idea of grouping students. Another idea I have seen used is students working in groups, where one group has a computer for each student, then others have completely seperate activities to be completed. It limits the amount of technology required, means students can work in groups and co-operate, and gets a lot of work done as they are all working productivly.
DeleteThis is something I haven't given much thought to, I really should start thinking about this. Thank you both for brining this to my attention. The group sharing ideas are interesting and would boast cooperative work as well as using resources to your best ability.
DeleteI feel that this links to children having different resources at home too. How do you set technology based activities (for homework) if not all children have access to the same devices?
